On April 9-10, 2024, a delegation of the Conference of European Churches visited Ukraine. The delegation was led by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, CEC President. In the delegation there were the recently elected Secretary General of the CEC Pastor Frank-Dieter Fischbach and other representatives.
The delegation held a number of meetings with representatives of religious communities of Ukraine, in particular with representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as well as a separate informal meeting with religious experts of Ukraine. Sergii Bortnyk took part in these meetings and had the opportunity to convey his position on a number of issues of religious life in Ukraine.
