On January 24-27, 2024, Sergii Bortnyk was in Germany, where he gave two open lectures for theology students. The first lecture on January 24, 2024 was held at the University of Goettingen on the topic “The Orthodox Church in Ukraine: historical milestones and current perspectives” (at the invitation of Prof. Jennifer Wasmuth, Department of Ecumenical Theology and Orthodox Christianity).
The second was a lecture at the colloquium at the University of Leipzig on January 26, 2024 on the topic “Theology in the Face of the War: a Ukrainian Perspective” (at the invitation of Prof. Frank Lutze, Department of Religious Pedagogy and Didactics of Religion Teaching).
Both lectures attracted a lively interest of the listeners. It is assumed that such open lectures will occur in the future. The texts of the lectures are available in German on our website:
