On December 8, 2020, the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience held the first seminar on “Wisdom in the dimension of the main Christian virtues: faith, hope and love”. Among the speakers were representatives of the largest Orthodox and Catholic communities of Ukraine.

On the invitation of the organizers, Sergii Bortnyk spoke as a representative of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Representing his denomination, he focused on the sense of faith, hope and love as they are seen by Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Onufriy, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In particular, the report considered quotes from the head of the UOC from an open source – the program “Word of the Primate”, which shows Christian sincerity instead of excessive political involvement, which is often blamed on representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

You can listen to the record of the Sergii Bortnyk’s speech here ‒ from 0:58 till 1:10.
